David Agnew
Born in Dublin Ireland, David Agnew studied instruments such as the piano, recorder and guitar in his younger years. When he turned 17, he took up the oboe and was shortly offered an Arts Council Scholarship that allowed him to study with the world's greatest oboists.
In 1981, he simultaneously completed a Masters Degree in Science (Botany) and won the Principal prize in the College of Music, Trinity College London. Having performed in many countries around the world, Agnew has shown remarkable versatility through his attempts in the wide range of music as a soloist or as a key player in an orchestra.
David Agnew has been conferred the title of King of Oboe; and has proven himself well by reigning the Irish National Compilation Chart for 4 weeks. |
