“East West Road”, the album title, is a direct translation of Ron Korb’s most famous work ‘Tokaido”. It forms the basis of this interesting collection of original tunes which features the superb quantity of Ron Korb’s flute playing skills. The rich variety of instruments conjures up images of exotic places inspired by different cultures from around the world. A special bonus track “Shi Zhong Ni Zui Hao” (始终你最好) included here also showcases Ron Korb’s accomplished compositional skills; the track was chosen and performed by the late legendary singer Roman Tam for his album, and won the “Best Original Composition" by Radio and Television Hong Kong (RTHK) for that year.
